A Gift Sung, Written, Printed

241. A few weeks ago, at the end of our Sunday Morning service, we sang "Holy Spirit Rain Down." It has stayed in my mind and in my heart since then.

242. I am so thankful for modern technology and the fact that I can actually blog. I enjoy this daily recording of my life and my spiritual growth.

243.  Before Christmas I learned of something new "to me."  Media Art. I have tried my hand at it. I enjoy it. It's relaxing for me and I like to see what I can create! Nothing much good yet - but I'm getting there! Thanks to a couple of classes I've been taking.  I have never painted - except walls!

3 Gifts Spoken

238. Reading God's Word aloud.

239.  Listening to a gifted teacher!

240. A preacher that preaches God's Word true.

3 Gifts Found in Women Today

235.  Speaking in generalities - our nurturing - nesting ability. These abilities are what makes our homes special. These abilities make motherhood possible. I love nesting and I'm so thankful for this gift.

236.  Most Christian women show a modesty that is a true gift. Modesty in dress and lifestyle. I appreciate this gift.

237.  Women are strong and steadfast. They are the foundation of our homes. The wisdom that comes from our many years of being homemakers and mothers have stood us well. As we continue to move out into the workforce, being the foundation of our homes is still the foundation of our lives.

3 Gifts Found in His Word

232.  The greatest gift is Jesus. This is a gift I've learned about in His Word.

John 3:16-18

233. I have faith in God. I have faith that Jesus Christ is his only Son, sent to live and die for me. I may not have all the theological answers but I have the faith that what the Bible says is God's Word and it is true, powerful and all I need for the path for my life.

Hebrews 11:1-3
The "Hall of Faith"

234. One of my greatest gifts from God's Word is Jesus' promise to return for me. I hold on to that gift and cherish it. I look forward to His coming and often say with Paul, with John "Come quickly, Lord Jesus, Come."

Revelation 22:7

Revelation 22: 12-13

Revelation 22:20-21

A Gift Sweet, Salty, Just Right

229. A Gift Sweet: Being a farm girl, I would be remiss if I said anything here except Southern Sweet tea! I was raised on it and I still love it.

230. A Gift Salty: We enjoy sharing popcorn when we go to the movie. Sharing time with Randy and we often take the grands to a movie when they are here.

231. A Gift Just Right: Well, I'm afraid I'm going to mention fried chicken again!! A  gift from God that is truly "just right."

3 Gifts That Made You Laugh

226.  My Grands make me laugh. I enjoy them and love to laugh with them.

227.  I met Randy on Match.com.  When we were first getting acquainted via emails he sent me an email that said:

Brenda,

2nd grade joke...

Question: What happened to the frog who broke down on the highway?

Answer: He got Toad away.

I get all my best stuff from second graders. First graders are cute but they're just not funny.

Later,

Randy

What can I say? I fell in love when I read this email!!!! He made me laugh and we've been laughing ever since.

228.  I love to laugh and I look for joy in all things. God has greatly blessed me with much laughter.

3 Gifts Eaten

223. I love the fellowship time of our small group. I enjoy the food we share. - Of course I understand the snacks are just a prop for the true reason we gather. But it's during the eating of this "prop" that we laugh and share our lives. Priceless.

224. Fried Chicken. My favorite food. I was raised on it - on the farm and it's still my favorite today.

224.  Fresh tomatoes. Nothing better than fresh home grown tomatoes. A true gift from God.
